Stones River Manor is Rutherford County's only faith-based nonprofit senior living community. We provide independent living apartments, six levels of assisted living care, including special needs care in our Select Care Center, specialized Alzheimer's and dementia care in our Assured Care Center, skilled nursing and rehab in our Advanced Care Center, a Skilled Care facility and rehab, and adult day care and respite care services at all levels of care. A variety of clinical and therapy services are also available right here on our campus.

We had our community Thanksgivings this week, and they were absolutly wonderful! Thank you to North Boulevard Church of Christ for inviting us for a great Thanksgiving meal. Our residents, families, and friends came together this past Saturday for a Thanksgiving meal at SRM. We enjoyed delicious food, warm fellowship, and all the joy this season brings. Seeing everyone gathered around the table, sharing stories and laughter, truly remind us of how blessed our community is. Thank you to everyone who helped make these celebrations memorable!

These meetings offer comfort, connection, and resources for anyone caring for a loved one living with Dementia or Alzheimer’s.

It’s been a fang-tastic day here at the Manor as residents and staff joined together to celebrate Halloween in true festive fashion! 🧙‍♀️🧡 From creative costumes and colorful decorations to sweet treats and laughter filling the halls, everyone brought their spooky spirit to life.

Our residents had a blast showing off their costumes, enjoying themed activities, and sharing stories from Halloweens past. 🍬🕸️ The staff joined in on the fun too — spreading smiles, laughter, and a little Halloween magic throughout the building. ✨

At Stones River Manor, we love finding reasons to celebrate and make lasting memories together — and today was a boo-tiful reminder of the joy that comes from fun, friendship, and community. 🦇💜

Our Story

Stones River Manor opened in 1977 as a Christian “Home for the Aged” with 29 living units. Over the years we’ve grown and expanded to meet the needs of the seniors in our community with facilities and services which cover the entire spectrum of senior living.

For many years a campus like ours was known as a CCRC, or “Continuing Care Retirement Community.” In recent years such a campus has come to be known as a “Life Plan Community.” We prefer to regard “The Manor” as a “Planned Life Community” - Your Life, Your Plan.

To provide for your life plan we offer independent living apartments, six levels of assisted living care, including specialized Alzheimer's and dementia care in our Assured Care Center, respite care, adult day care services and a variety of special needs care services in our new Select Care Center. We also offer complete clinical and therapy services, right here on our campus, and our brand new Advanced Care Center provides skilled nursing and in-house rehab services.

Stones River Manor was Murfreesboro’s first home for the aged and is still Rutherford County’s only faith-based, not-for-profit senior living community. Unlike other CCRC’s, or Life Plan Communities, there are no buy-in charges, leases to sign, or complicated contracts to be negotiated. It’s simply month-to-month rental based solely on your level of care.
