💭 When a child “acts out,” it’s easy to assume they’re doing it on purpose
But all behavior is communication — it tells us what’s happening beneath the surface. This doesn't mean we don't set limits on the behavior but it does mean we set those limits with compassion and understanding.

Instead of asking “What’s wrong with this child?” try asking,
👉 “What is this behavior trying to tell me?”

Every behavior is a message — we just have to learn how to listen. 💫

Mental health here in TN and helping our Children.

The effects of the pandemic has changed all of us in so many ways. Many are finding they are no longer coping well with every day issues. Work seems harder. Life seems harder. We are depressed, we are anxious, we are tired. 1 in 10 children are suffering from anxiety during this time. Things have shifted, we as a society are no longer the same. Our attitudes, behaviors and our abilities have been compromised and changed so slowly most did not even recognize until symptoms started to appear. Collectively the changes have caused a shift in our autonomic nervous systems causing many to begin operating out of their sympathetic nervous system (also known as fight or flight). Here we feel stressed and anxious, sad alone and confused. But you can take your life back. You can get things back on track.
