Our elderly are the last ones that will ever ask for help. A lot think if they ask for help it is a weakness and they may have to leave their home. As times are significantly changing, just a meal, a pot of soup, a check-in could make such a profound difference. They, because of the depression etc, have gone without. And this is so very sad.

We must remember, just because someone is older, it does not mean that they have nothing left to offer to society and are incapable of accomplishing great things in their remaining years.

I had a profound conversation with a family interested in placing a loved one in Grace House. They asked me what sets us apart... Well, I said, if Mom is hungry at 2am and craves something to eat, we lovingly provide it. If Mom is having a restless night, we compassionately sit with her. If Mom needs a hug, we warmly hug her. We are a family at Grace House and our residents are truly at home - their home, where love and care reside. We are merely gracious guests.

An evening of showing our appreciation from Grace House to some of our first responders in Murfreesboro. We cannot thank them enough for always being so caring and kind to our residents and staff. Thank you for your tireless and selfless efforts to protect and serve the community. Thank you for being the heroes you are in times of uncertainty. We are very thankful and hope you enjoy your pepperoni rolls.
