In spite of the ice, snow, and freezing rain, our village team members rose to the challenge by going above and beyond. A big thank you to EVERYONE who went the extra mile and helped out during what could have been a disaster. Our residents were well taken care of and were able to enjoy the beauty of this snowstorm. Every Friday, our residents really look forward to our social hour, which offers a variety of snacks, stimulating discussions, and trivia. Melissa's 9:30 morning exercise program provides a great way to balance out all the treats. We commend Melissa for taking the initiative to gather feedback from residents through surveys and designing activities that cater to their interests. We sure do have a lot of fun around here. Our residents had the best time yesterday visiting our Murfreesboro courthouse, thanks to our wonderful resident Kay Eischeid and her daughter, the Honorable Judge Lisa Eischeid, who were kind enough to show our residents a day in the life at the courthouse. Our residents were sworn in, searched, and even got to play lawyers; they felt special wearing the judge's robe. They might have even cast some verdicts. A few of them were held in the detention center. Ha ha! They also got to visit the judge's chambers and meet the most special member, 'Nash'. It looks like they had a wonderful day seeing the beautiful view of Murfreesboro from the top of the building and getting to experience all the history there. A huge, heartfelt thank you goes out to Lisa for taking the time to show us around; we had a blast and we can't thank you enough.

We had a very special birthday celebration for all of our Christmas birthdays in December, celebrating the birth of our wonderful residents. We love a good social hour, but nothing makes it better than celebrating them. Happy birthday and Merry Christmas to everyone. And a big thank you to Nashville’s first church of Nazarene.
