✨The St. Clair Senior Center Health Expo 2025!✨

On October 3rd, multiple healthcare businesses came together to serve the wonderful senior citizens in Murfreesboro, TN and surrounding areas. This Health Expo provided free Healthcare screenings, care and education!

Beating Pulse Family Medicine offered:
✅Blood pressure and glucose screenings
✅Covid and Flu tests
✅Partnered with Shield company to provide colon cancer screenings
✅Weight loss program information

This event was phenomenal! I personally believe this day helped empower seniors in this community to live well.

✨️September is Sickle Cell Awareness Month✨️

Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) is a genetic blood disorder that cause red blood cells to become sickle-shaped, leading to blockages in blood flow and various complications. Common symptoms include pain, fatigue, yellow of the skin and whites of the eyes, and frequent infections.

Common types of pain: acute or severe pain crises, pain from organ damage, chronic or long-term pain, joint problems, priapism. To help manage your health, seek your healthcare team regularly to develop your unique care plan and adopt a healthy lifestyle.

It's crucial to raise awareness and encourage testing. Early detection can make a significant difference.
