The challenges of wound care don’t look the same in every setting. Clinicians working in rural or resource-limited environments often have to think differently—especially when treating complex pressure injuries.

2024 was a test of resilience. It was a year of burnout, obstacles, and financial hardship—moments that made quitting feel like a real option. But despite it all, I pushed forward. I prioritized my physical and mental health, reclaiming parts of myself I had neglected for too long.

Now, 2025 is here, and I can feel the momentum shifting. This is the year of opportunity—the year I continue educating, collaborating, and driving innovation in surgical techniques and treatments. Every ounce of effort I put in will come back tenfold.

I’ve sown the seeds. Now, it’s time to reap the rewards. Let’s get it!
