Dr. Raphaeli is a Tennessee Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Health Services Provider. She has specialized training in treating trauma resolution (PTSD), anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief and loss, dependency disorders, codependency, and substance abuse. In therapy Dr. Raphaeli uses insight oriented treatments coupled with cognitive behavioral interventions to help clients facilitate introspection and identify patterns in order to make positive changes while simultaneously improving overall mood and sense of well being. She has extensive training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and often approaches treatment integrating mindfulness practice and acceptance skills. Her therapeutic interventions utilize a strengths-based approach offering encouragement and support while helping clients reveal unhelpful patterns warranting change.
Dr. Raphaeli received her BA from Marquette University with primary study in psychology and biology. She received her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, Illinois. She trained at the Neuropsychiatric Institute at the University of Illinois at Chicago primarily treating eating disorders.
Dr. Raphaeli conducted research on juvenile obesity and published an article in Clinical Obesity, 2011, on obesity treatment regiments. She completed her internship conducting neuropsychological evaluations. She completed her residency at The Watershed Addictions Treatment Inc., wherein she facilitated individual, group, and family therapy with clients presenting with dependency disorders.
