😵‍💫 Dizzy?

😵‍💫 Room spinning?

😵‍💫 Having difficulty getting your bearings if you turn your head too quickly or roll over?

😵‍💫 Having difficulty with balance or feeling steady on your feet?

Physical therapists trained in vestibular issues can help with the sudden onset of these symptoms. Techniques such as the Epley Manuever, eye tracking exercises, and balance exercises that challenge the vestibular system are some of the ways we can help!

🧘Poor postures are positions that put excessive strain on soft tissue and joints, are repetitive or excessive, and lead to stiffness or strength imbalances.

🧘‍♀️We aren’t meant to be stuck in any one posture all day long!

🧘‍♂️The key to painfree posture is variety and balance.

Upon request and at the conclusion of your treatment, we are able to provide you with a superbill for physical therapy treatments you have received. You can submit these to your commercial insurance carrier for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Out-of-network coverage varies greatly among plans and we suggest calling your insurance carrier before submitting for clear expectations regarding potential reimbursement.

From an old post but a good one…let’s take a look at LeBron and his lumbar roll.

If you know me, you know I love a lumbar roll. You don’t have to wear it 24/7 fannie pack-style though for it to be effective.

If you sit long hours at a desk for work or have long commutes in the car, using a lumbar roll for support is a great way to make sure your posture stays in good form with minimal effort. Great for watching TV on the couch as well too!

Good sitting posture can help combat many of our acquired aches and pains, especially those originating in the low back or neck and traveling into the legs or arms.

There are several great options out there…I’ll link my favorites you can check them out on Amazon.

The OG: McKenzie Lumbar Roll https://amzn.to/44ilT3o

Just as good: Vive Lumbar Roll https://amzn.to/3WhVi4E

Petite? This one’s for you: McKenzie Early Compliance Lumbar Roll https://amzn.to/3U9J6QC

We will be back at it on Monday 4/1. Happy Easter and Spring Break everyone!

When you hear "core" work, do you automatically think abs?

The core is actually a 360 degree concept including not just the abs, but also the stabilizers of your lumbar spine, your diaphragm, and your pelvic floor muscles as well.

A strong cylinder provides the base for activities requiring power and stability.

So next time you plan to "work on your core", think more than just sit ups!
