5 tips for summer fueling! It’s hot out there right now!!

Don’t Just Drink Water 💧
You sweat out sodium, not just water. Replacing it with electrolytes helps prevent cramps, headaches, and that drained feeling on long efforts. If you start the ride low, it is hard to get on top of your fuel.

Know Your Sweat Rate ⚖️
Everyone sweats differently. Weigh yourself before and after a 1-hour workout. This gives you a custom hydration target so you’re not guessing. Shoot us a message to find the best calculator for this!

Fuel Early & Often 🍌
In the heat, digestion slows and energy burns fast. Start fueling within 30–45 min, and aim for your hourly carb rate intake.

Pre-Fuel & Pre-Cool 🧊
Start hydrated and topped off with fuel. Cold drinks before lower your core temp and give you an early energy edge.

Adjust for the Heat 🥵
Hot days make everything feel harder. You will also need to consume more water/fuel. That’s normal. Back off the pace slightly or ease into the heat gradually.
