Children with 3D or more of myopia face over 11 times the odds as their non-myopic peers, underscoring the case for routine dilation in young patients.

The researchers reviewed clinical records, including refractive error, demographic data and detailed peripheral retinal findings, and only fully documented exams with successful dilation were included.

Optase Intense Dry eye is a drop that Dr. Keith finds helpful. The multi-dose version had a recent safety recall. She recommends swapping to the single use vials, Optase Forte, or Refresh brand single use for now. These recalls are the result of safety tests that occur regularly to make sure that the drops we are all using are safe from bacteria.
