As a teenager, she experienced a multitude of seemingly unrelated symptoms that were ultimately diagnosed as chronic intestinal failure after suffering 17 ovarian cysts and arthritis for years. Faced with the prospect of major surgery, Rachel chose not to accept this last ditch diagnoses and struck out to find the root of her health problems…

Rachel’s search brought her from New Orleans to the mountains of North Carolina and eventually to the North Carolina School of Natural Healing in Asheville. Through this experience, Rachel formed her personal care philosophy integrating diet, natural body care, and a healthy living environment. This philosophy turned her symptoms around creating her empowering health! Believing that the knowledge she gained was a gift that she was to share, Rachel founded Blue Moon Herbs in 1999 and is now known as Blue Moon Elise, BMe since 2003. There's a chance if you knock, I may hear you so if you really need something, ring us or knock:) We are taking the week to reflect on what's next at BMe. Of course, I sort of already know but lights off, doors shut always creates a newness. What worked this past year? What didn't work? And what is screaming to be birthed. So, besides the moving and cleaning.....re-birth of how we choose to live our days will emerge as well.

All yoga classes are still on and facial appointments. Just the store is closed.
