Claude Alvin Smith 73, of both Tucker, Georgia and the Shooting Creek community passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2025 in a Gainesville, Georgia hospital. He was a native of Stone Mountain, Georgia. Alvin was a jack of all trades and master of none. He enjoyed painting, tinkering and finding out how things worked in order to fix them himself. Alvin worked in many fields from electrical to brick masonry. His final job was driving for a sign company, Alumapanel until retiring in 2016. He was a member of Briarlake Baptist Church in Tucker, Georgia and attended Shooting Creek Church of God while at his vacation home in Hayesville. Alvin also enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with his family.
