MEET Suzy Garcia, Master Aesthetician

Suzy began her work at the Eye Foundation in 2014 as an Ophthalmic Technician. After several years working in eye care, she then attended Paul Mitchell The School Skin Academy where she graduated from both the Cosmetology and Master Aesthetics Programs. Her skincare education there included training in medical lasers, Intense Pulsed Light (IPL), Radio Frequency (RF), chemical peels, and laser hair removal. Based upon her exceptional performance as a student and experience in Aesthetics working at a premier Salt Lake City spa following graduation, the Skin Academy later invited her to return as an Instructor. She now teaches students to build a core foundation of knowledge and prepare them for their professional careers.

With her education and experience in both Aesthetics and Eye Care, Suzy is uniquely qualified to manage our patients’ skincare needs. Passionate about aesthetics, she not only provides in-office care, and she also guides clients on proper skincare at home.

Born and raised in Salt Lake City, Suzy enjoys hiking, biking, exploring the outdoors, and traveling the country.

MEET DR. ANDERSON

Seeing the world from different perspectives, enjoying breath-taking landscapes, and meeting new people are just a few of the things Dr. Anderson enjoys.
Born and raised in Layton, Utah, he is delighted to be back in the mountains. He attended Utah State University in Logan, Utah, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude earning a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences with a minor in Chemistry. He holds his Doctor of Medicine from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In addition to his medical practice, he is also a Captain in the Army National Guard, which he joined shortly after starting medical school. He completed his residency in Ophthalmology at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. He most recently was in private practice in Pocatello, Idaho, and is excited to come back home to Salt Lake City.
Dr. Anderson is a Comprehensive Ophthalmologist and enjoys most performing cataract and refractive surgery with advanced technology including premium lenses, laser-assisted surgery, and other refractive surgeries. He also enjoys eyelid surgery, glaucoma, corneal diseases, and medical retina. He has published in peer reviewed journals and presented papers and posters at national ophthalmic meetings.
Dr. Anderson pursued a career in medicine because he loves people and wanted to help them in some capacity. He thoroughly enjoys listening to people and helping to improve or restore people’s sight. During his residency, he provided medical and surgical care to underserved populations in Kenya and plans to continue international work. He speaks Spanish, which he learned on an LDS Mission to Panama.
When Dr. Anderson is not practicing medicine, he enjoys Alpine and waterskiing, canyoneering, hiking, spending time with family, and playing a wide variety of sports as well as attending musicals and local cultural events.
