Regular Exercise Protects Heart Health.
Using data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, researchers found that adults who met physical activity guidelines—at least 150 minutes of moderate-to-vigorous exercise per week—had a 22% lower risk of cardiovascular disease. Those who exercised at least 300 minutes per week experienced a 30% lower risk.
