At Well Being, we believe: Your body belongs to you. You choose what you do with it, and with whom you share it. If any of that isn't working out, our job is to help you meet your goals. It really is that simple.

"The LGBT (le***an, gay, bisexual, and transgender) community belongs to almost every race, ethnicity, religion, age, and socioeconomic group. The LGBT youth are at a higher risk for substance use, sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), cancers, cardiovascular diseases, obesity, bullying, isolation, rejection, anxiety, depression, and su***de as compared to the general population. LGBT youth receive poor quality of care due to stigma, lack of healthcare providers’ awareness, and insensitivity to the unique needs of this community."

In healthcare, we can and should better serve our LGBTQ+ communities. By increasing awareness that some of us are at greater risk than others, we can also increase awareness of what resources are available those who may benefit.

Please let us know if you would like further resources. We are happy to help with more specific requests and needs.

Did you know that 45-55 is the perfect time to start managing menopause?

You're probably familiar with hot flashes, but did you know about Musculoskeletal Syndrome of Menopause? This creates changes that might not be so obvious, and include:

👎 loss of muscle/strength
👎 loss of bone density
👎 Increased inflammation
👎 increased vaginal dryness, pain, incontinence..and more!

These impacts to the body can significantly decrease quality of life, negatively impacting fall risk, activity level, bowel, bladder and sexual function.

Read the article below if you are 2 million people in the US going through menopause each year, and learn the symptoms before they affect you.

What can you do❓

✅ Good news! Physical Therapy (with a specialized provider), can improve or even reverse most, if not ALL of these changes!

Meeting with a skilled PT can help you improve strength, bone density, evaluate and refer for potential hormone replacement, nutrition, sleep, lifestyle, and more. Diet and exercise can look and feel very different during these stages. We can make sure you are progressing in comfort and safety! So, if you want to stay healthy but aren't sure what to do or where to start, call us!

What would you do?
I'm always looking for new ideas for my go-to sheet pan veggies. Post your ideas and recipes!

As we all try to eat healthy, I love to eat ALL the veggies. Some of us have sensitivities and can't do that, so I'd love to hear your ideas and variations!

Personally, I do some variation of this several times a month. I don't think I've done the same one twice. I like these this over pasta, rice, salad for lunch, as a side with chicken or other protein...

Thoughts on spices, flavors? Let's have fun with it.
