It's a new month which means a new angel! Our January 2026 angel, Shannon, nominated our social worker, Katie! Here is what Shannon had to say about her:
"Today, I'd like to pass a long these angel wings to a person that show's up everyday with a huge heart of compassion and dedication, often even behind the scenes. She has an absolute heart of gold. She is dedicated to the patients, their families and our team. She doesn't just show up, she stands out with warmth, empathy, patience and an unwavering commitment to make patients and her co-workers feel safe, seen, and deeply cared for. Her kindness is felt and her advocacy matters and her presence truly changes lives."

Let’s kick off our new year by naming our January 2026 Angel of the Month! Pam nominated one of our new RNs (drum roll 🥁) Shannon!! Here is why Pam chose Shannon:

So much to learn, so much to understand.
From day one, connections clearly felt—
We knew the right cards had been dealt.

That first home visit, you left with a glow,
You turned and asked, “Was that all just a show?”
You offered comfort, gentle and strong,
Even while the hours stretched so long.

No complaints—you jumped right in,
Even when your head was in a spin.
A new career can feel like quite a shock,
But we’re so glad you’re our new kid on the block.
Your kind heart we have already seen
As long as your heart shines who cares about routine

✨ Holiday Hours at MCCH ✨

In observance of the upcoming holidays, some Murray-Calloway County Hospital clinics and departments will be closed or operating with adjusted hours. Please see the attached image for details.

While many of our staff enjoy time with family, our Emergency Department remains open 24/7 to care for you and your loved ones. We encourage patients to plan appointments and prescription refills accordingly.

This Christmas season and always, we count you - our community - as one of our greatest blessings. 🎄

It's the most wonderful time of the year... especially when our team comes together! Last night's Feliz Navidad-themed Christmas celebration was an unforgettable night of joy, thanks to The Mocktail Guy, Murray Qdoba, The Cheese Boarder Company, and The Cake Lady. Muchas gracias for being apart of our night 🎄 and a special thank you to our director, Jane for putting on such a wonderful evening!

Sunshine had this to say about this particular angel:
"Hardworking, dedicated, no nonsense & love. These are attributes that come mind when I think of this month's angel. I've had the pleasure of knowing her outside of work & now have the honor of working alongside her. She always strives for the best & it reflects because she is always coming up with amazing ideas to better our patient care & workflow. She has saved the day for everyone at least 100 times, I'm sure of it! We are blessed beyond measure to have Pam on our side & I am sure I speak for us all in saying we are also beyond thankful that she is. Thank you Pam, for just being you! ❤️ Love you!"
