Our founder understood the difficulty in caring for his elderly parents. They both were living in an assisted living community and needed a primary care provider to satisfy the requirements of the community and to provide his parents with basic medical need coverage. He and his wife would often miss days of work to get his parents to see their medical providers. Getting his parents into the vehicle was physically difficult. Neither one of them could move very well and needed a lot of assistance. Once at the clinic, they encountered long waits in the waiting room as well as long waits once in the exam room. The provider would come in, see them for less than 15 minutes and would leave quickly as they rushed to the next patient. At times they did not see their own provider but someone else that was covering. After hours calls were sent to an on-call service and most often they never heard back.
From this experience, AMG Senior Medical Group was born. AMG’s founder realized there was a better way to provide care to seniors living in an assisted living community, independent living communities, and at home. Medical providers come to you and provide the same services you would get in a clinic. We have the capability of managing medication, prescriptions, refills, labs, x-rays, ultrasounds, sleep studies, EKG’s and more at home. We work with the nurses and staff at the communities to ensure quality care as well as continuity of care. No more waiting in a waiting room, you will see your provider, and each visit is at least 30 minutes one on one. There is no additional cost. We bill insurance like a traditional clinic.
