MINDFUL MONDAY:

Uncertainty doesn’t mean you’re doing something wrong.
It just means… you’re human.

If you’re waiting for clarity to arrive before you move forward— you might be waiting forever.

So here’s a softer invitation for today:
Don’t try to control the future.

Focus on what you can control:
Your thoughts
Your feelings
Your actions

That’s it. That’s everything.
Let your brain imagine the worst-case scenario…
Then invite it to consider the best-case one, too.
Both are made-up.
But one moves you forward with hope and power.

You don’t have to have it all figured out.
You just have to stay grounded in what’s true right now.

Breathe.
You’re already doing that part beautifully.

MINDFUL MONDAY

If you’ve been feeling anxious lately, I want you to know:
There’s nothing wrong with you.
There is absolutely NOTHING WRONG WITH YOU.
Anxiety is often misunderstood. We think it’s weakness, or something we need to control or fix. But most of the time… it’s just unprocessed truth.

Here are five reasons it might be showing up more than usual:
1. BUZZ WORDS
The eye sees what the mind looks for.
If you keep telling yourself “I’m overwhelmed,” your brain will start collecting evidence to prove it.
Try swapping it with: “I have a lot on my plate—and I’m learning to navigate it.”

2. You don’t know the true cause.
Is it a thought? A hormone dip? A nervous system stuck in overdrive?
When we don’t pause long enough to ask why, we assume anxiety is the problem… when it’s actually the signal.

3. You’re resisting emotions.
The more we try to avoid a feeling, the louder it gets.
Instead, what if you allowed it? Sat with it. Breathed with it.
Most emotions only last 90 seconds when we let them move.

4. You’re carrying shame.
Unspoken shame becomes anxiety.
The solution? Gently name it. Let it breathe.
There’s nothing wrong with you. You’re not broken. You’re human.

5. You’ve forgotten that life is supposed to be 50/50.
You’re not failing because life feels hard right now.
You’re just living in contrast. That’s part of being alive.

“I have been coming to Awaken for just over 6 years. It started as a job in the kids care to get a free gym membership and pass time as a new mom…but eventually it became a home away from home. My favorite thing about Awaken is the community that has carried me in so many situations. My Awaken community started in the kids care, it grew abundantly in Wyld, and deepened the most on retreats. Whether it’s a friendly face you’re needing, or a deep meaningful relationship, there are so many incredible humans and experiences to build those relationships. My why for coming and staying is to continue to deepen the relationships I have, while also helping others feel the love I have felt for so many years. Connection is everything when things get tough. What if stress isn’t the problem?

You’ve been taught stress is the enemy.

That it steals your joy. Wrecks your health. Ages you overnight.

But what if that’s not actually true?

According to Stanford health psychologist Kelly McGonigal:
“Stress arises when something you care about is at stake.”
In other words—stress means you’re engaged. You care. You’re in the arena.

And get this:
In a massive study, people with high stress levels who believed stress was bad had the highest death rates.
But those with high stress who believed it was normal?

They lived longer than the “low stress” crowd.
It’s not the stress that’s killing us.
It’s the fear of stress.
It’s the belief that something’s wrong because we feel pressure.

Here’s the truth:
💥 Stress is a natural response to life.
💥 Your brain releases cortisol and DHEA—one heightens survival, the other boosts growth, creativity, and resilience.
💥 You get to decide how you use it.

When your brain sees stress as a threat, it shuts down.
Fight, flight, or freeze.

But when it sees stress as a challenge?
You get laser focus.
You find meaning.
You grow stronger.

Here’s your challenge today:
👉 Notice the next time you feel that tightness in your chest or that mental spinout.
👉 Pause. Breathe.
👉 Ask: “What if this feeling means I’m growing?”
👉 Choose to engage instead of escape.
