Congratulations to Katie Bohannon on receiving the Sara Jean Parks Pendleton Scholarship with a $15,000 award! This scholarship is for female students in the state of KY who attend a full-time accredited program at a smaller university and intend to work in the medical profession in rural areas of KY.

Statement from Katie: "I want to express my gratitude to the Sara Jean Parks Pendleton Scholarship committee and the fund as a whole for providing opportunities for individuals to continue their education by alleviating financial burdens. It is an honor to be selected as one of the scholarship recipients for my final year of graduate school. I want to thank my program faculty for their unwavering support and encouragement. Without you, all this would not be possible. Thank you to my husband for always encouraging me to take the leap of faith. I am excited to see what this next year has in store!"
