📱 Text Neck: What We’re Carrying Without Realizing It

We live in a world where our heads are down more than ever. Phones, screens, work, and constant connection. What most people don’t realize is how much stress that posture places on the neck, the spine, and the nervous system.

Text neck isn’t just about neck pain. It affects posture, breathing, focus, energy, and overall nervous system function. Over time, the body adapts to what it’s repeatedly asked to do, and those adaptations come at a cost.

The good news? Awareness changes everything. Small shifts, practiced consistently, can restore balance and help the body function the way it was designed to.

In this video, I talk about what text neck really is, why it matters, and how simple changes can make a big difference. Our bodies are incredibly resilient when we honor their design and take stewardship seriously.

My birthday isn’t until July, but this young man couldn’t wait. He made me a birthday card and brought it with him before his adjustment Thursday, simply because it was on his heart. We are so grateful for the heart of children in this office and the parents who are raising them with kindness, intention, and love. Thank you, mom and dad, for stewarding such a thoughtful young man. These are the moments that matter.

A few weeks ago, a dear friend stopped by the office and noticed the Christmas tree. She smiled and said she and her three boys had made a special ornament…for a limb they wanted to reserve on our tree.

She promised she’d bring it by.

I’ll be honest…I hoped it would make it before Christmas.

This morning, I saw her husband and he handed me that ornament. And there it was, right on time. Hope fulfilled.

It seems like such a small thing, but it stopped me in my tracks. Because Christmas is built on that very same kind of hope but just infinitely greater.

For generations, people waited. They watched. They trusted the promise. And at just the right time, God delivered the greatest gift the world has ever known: the Christ child. Not early. Not late. Right on time.

Hope came wrapped in humility.
Peace came lying in a manger.
Love entered the world quietly, but changed everything.

That ornament will hang on our tree as a reminder that promises matter, that faith is not wasted, and that God is always faithful to fulfill what He has spoken. Even when we’re waiting. Even when we’re wondering. Even when it feels like time is running out.

This Christmas, may your heart be anchored in that same hope. It is the hope that does not disappoint. The hope that has a name. The hope that came for all of us. His name is Emmanuel.

Somewhere along the way, many of us learned to measure ourselves by what we lack; more credentials, more certainty, more time, more strength, more approval.

This is a reminder that purpose doesn’t wait for perfection.
Calling doesn’t require comparison.
And growth doesn’t begin with what’s missing; it begins with what’s already been given.

You don’t need to be someone else to matter.
You don’t need to have it all figured out to take the next step.
You only need the courage to steward what’s in your hands right now.

There’s freedom in that.
And there’s peace there too.

Use what you’ve got.
It’s enough to begin.

There's a place for you and we expect to see you.
