Oral and maxillofacial surgery also encompasses hard and soft tissue pathology, which refers to diseases of the mouth. When oral pathology presents from symptoms reported by a patient or presents upon clinical examination, our multi specialty team will work with our patients and sometimes their primary care medical physician to build a list of possible concerns, called a differential diagnosis.
