Happy Veteran’s Day! 🇺🇸 Today, we are honored to celebrate the service and story of our employee, Dennise Araya.

For nine years, Dennise lived her commitment to the Navy’s mission of protecting our freedoms and keeping America safe. Today, she lives a different mission, sharing the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus Christ as an administrative secretary.

While not in a frontline patient care role, Dennise knows that her work supporting those on the front lines allows her to contribute to LLUH’s mission.

About 100 community members came to our recent Fall Cancer Screening Event, where they were given a free genetic screening and were able to further understand their risk of developing hereditary cancers.

We hope to see more community members next fall. 🍁

📢 Dr. Van Nguyen has been recognized as Educator of the Year 🎉

Congratulations to Dr. Van Nguyen, program director of the Family Medicine Residency, who was honored as Educator of the Year by the California Academy of Family Physicians (CAFP). The award was presented in September during the Family Medicine POP! Prism of Practice/Residency Fair in San Diego.

Dr. Nguyen celebrated this achievement with her family, residents, core faculty, and program coordinators — all of whom proudly supported her in this well-deserved recognition.

We're celebrating Respiratory Care Week and honoring the dedicated respiratory care practitioners (RCP), also known as respiratory therapists, who provide life-sustaining care to patients across all areas of our hospitals.

RCPs are essential to patient care across nearly every department, from the operating room to the emergency department, pulmonary function labs, hyperbaric medicine, and interfacility Transport. Their expertise in critical care and cardiopulmonary medicine helps patients with acute and chronic conditions breathe easier.

At LLUMC–Murrieta, the respiratory care team has been recognized by the California State Respiratory Care Board as a high-performing department with advanced therapy and techniques.

Thank you to all our RCPs for the compassion, skill, and strength you bring to your patients and colleagues every day. Your work embodies our mission to continue the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus Christ.

What a lovely time at the Komen Inland Empire MORE THAN PINK Walk! 💗

Every year, our leaders and staff wear their pink gear and join thousands who have all been touched by breast cancer. It was inspiring to see survivors, current fighters, and our patients gather on this special day. We are taking strides to continue the fight and thank everyone who has tagged along.
