PSA - Please check your "prescribed" vitamins. Unfortunately, some MDs are prescribing the worst forms of vitamins. Twice in the past week I had patients that were prescribed Ergocalciferol (D2) at 1 cap of 50,000 units per week. D2 is SIGNIFACANTLY less effective at raising blood levels and combating bone density issues, Seasonal Affect Disorder, and immune boost (to name a few). Please make sure you are using Cholecalciferol (D3). Also your body has a better chance of picking up more of it if you spread it out over the week at 5,000-10,00 IU per day rather than trying to pick up 50,000IU all in one shot. It's winter in Pittsburgh, we need all the help with "The Sunshine Vitamin" as we can get.
