Interesting factiod. The Hippocratic bench was developed back near 400 BC and was used to gently stretch people in a therapeutic manner and sometimes he would sit or walk on peoples back while tractioned to provide relief from back pain. It was the precursor to both the medieval torture rack shown below as well as also our modern traction tables of today like the KDT Neuroflex we have here at Active Chiropractic.
