I want to personally thank everyone who supported Grayson and us. He was a wonderful curious soul, and one hell of a fighter. Some fights just cannot be won unfortunately as we painfully learned today. I was at work when I received the call that he didn’t have much longer, so I’m just thankful I was able to race up to Iowa City in time.

He passed away peacefully in my arms and surrounded by family. Anyone that knew Grayson knew he was the happiest 2 year old the world had seen.

Fellow fathers do me a favor and hold your kids extra tight, you never know how much you’ll miss them until they’re gone.

Last night and today have been a bit rocky.
Doctor called me at 6:19AM to let me know he’s been extremely tachycardic with heart rate of 220’s and elevated blood pressures.
He spiked a fever shortly after Devon and I got up here, and he’s been running warm all day today
Cultures were drawn
Went down on the bolus dose of versed (one of his sedatives)
His oxygen saturations have been rocky and sensitive, not getting much higher than 93 and hitting 96-97 for a few seconds and then going back down to 88-90 on high ventilation settings
We were able to last 3 hours on his back today before we started having major issues with his oxygen saturations
Did not receive chemo or a wound vac change due to the instability today
Hoping for a better day and a better night
