Caroline Flannagin McCoy

I didn’t know this young man, but my heart breaks for his family. He died in the line of duty protecting our community from a madman. I often wonder why such brave souls get their lives cut short. It makes no sense. But I thank God for him and the men and women of law enforcement that are willing to put their lives on the line for us and their fellow officers. It is truly a Thin Blue Line between a safe community and chaos. Rest In Peace, Officer Risner, and may God grant peace and serenity to his family. There is no higher form of selflessness than to give one’s own life for others.
