The Healing Place extends a huge THANK YOU to Tidal Wave Auto Spa for making us one of their 2025 Charity Day beneficiaries! We appreciate the hard work, time, and commitment put in to hosting last Friday’s event.

Community partners like Tidal Wave make continuing our mission of providing free grief support and education to children and families experiencing loss possible. Without folks like you we couldn’t see this mission through.

***dePreventionMonth reminds us that silence can cost lives — and conversation can save them. Start a conversation. Be the difference.

Beginning the conversation doesn’t mean you have to dive straight into talking about mental health struggles or have an intense heart to heart. Consider instead meeting your friend where they are or extending an invitation to hang out. You can even talk about struggles you are going through to give your friend an avenue to open up. Whether it's over a bite to eat or taking a walk, a simple “what’s up” is a great place to begin.

🗣️“Seems like something’s up, do you wanna talk about what’s going on?”

🗣️“Hey, we haven’t talked in a while. How are you?”

🗣️“No matter what’s going on, I’ve got your back.”

🌟What do our members love about Healing Hearts?🌟

💙 Healing Hearts Group is our in school grief support program offered to all children attending schools in Lauderdale, Colbert, and Franklin counties that we serve/have preexisting groups.

💙 Healing Hearts Group meets once per month and explores emotions, experiences, and responses surrounding grief in a safe environment with children that are already familiar with each other from school.

💙 Healing Hearts group is coordinated by a Healing Place counselor and your child's school counselor.

💙 By filling out this form you are signing up your child to attend the group once per month. Healing Hearts meets at the discretion of the Healing Place and the school administration. By signing up you are not committing your child to attend every group if there is an absence, conflict, or important school event happening on the day that the group meets.

💙If your child has attended Healing Hearts in previous years they will need to be registered again this school year! Participation requires a new form every year!

⛳️ 4 DAYS remain until the 2025 Healing Place Charity Classic Golf Tournament!⛳️

💚 The Healing Place Charity Classic Golf Tournament, with its four person scramble format, provides the opportunity for area golfers to support the work of The Healing Place. The Healing Place Charity Classic Golf Tournament takes place in the fall of every year and invites area golfers, community members, and local businesses and organizations to give back to The Healing Place. The tournament provides opportunity to play or to sponsor the event.

💚 The tournament takes place at Cypress Lakes in Muscle Shoals, AL and offers 2 shotgun start times- one at 8am and one at 1pm. Each start time is limited to 18 teams. The registration fee for the tournament includes team registration, players breakfast, players lunch, and 2 mulligans. The registration fee is $500 per team ($125 per person).

💚 The Healing Place Charity Classic Golf Tournament also provides the opportunity for local businesses and organizations to sponsor the event. By sponsoring the event your business/organization will be featured on all Healing Place social media, the website, and on signage at the event. We would love to have you/your business participate in this event to benefit families all across the Shoals and surrounding areas.

One thing about this business.......it can be unpredictable. 🫠 The beginning of the week was so slow, so we prepared what we thought would be plenty for today’s run at NAL. Well, they must have been extra hungry because they wiped us out! 🔥

That means we won’t be able to make it to the Tidal Wave event tonight, as we need to shift gears and prep fresh food for tomorrow’s private event.

We hate to miss an event, but we’re grateful for the incredible support and understanding as we continue to grow. 🧡
