I hold a MA in Professional Counseling from Liberty University, and I am an Associate Licensed Counselor (ALC) in the state of Alabama. I have been working in various capacities with adolescents, teens, and adults in the counseling field for eight years. As a native of the Shoals area, I am proud to be a part of our beautiful and growing community. I have been married to my husband for 16 years, a
nd we have two children. My desire to become a licensed therapist has been spurred from my own life journey. I recognize that, in life, we all experience pain, disappointment, stress, & loss (just to name a few). Yet I've realized we can manage those experiences in many different ways, some of which can be counterproductive and even destructive to our well-being. In the safety of the counseling relationship, we can partner with a confidential, caring, & trained individual to do deep and important work on ourselves, developing new awareness and skills with which to deal with life. The process can be very rewarding, and I am honored when I am chosen to be a part of it with others. I understand the prospect of counseling can be very intimidating to potential clients. The sensitive nature of counseling and the vulnerabilities that clients face when entering a counseling relationship are significant. Therefore, I work diligently to protect the privacy of those with whom I work. I honor the values and goals of each client and treat each as the expert he/she is on himself/herself. My role as counselor is to come alongside those with whom I work, offering a confidential and helpful presence, so that they are not alone on their personal journey. Let's pursue healing, hope, and wholeness together!
