MK Infusion spotlight this week is Marc Montgomery, CFO. We are so thankful for Marc!

Marc was born and raised in Mississippi. He is happily married to Missy and proud dad of Keeton and Mary Kate. He is a graduate of Mississippi State University with a BBA degree in Risk Management, Insurance, and Financial Planning. Marc owns an Allstate agency in Muscle Shoals and serves on the board of directors at Covenant Christian School.

MK Infusion spotlight this week is Susan Keeton, DNP, CRNP. She has been such an inspiration at MK Infusion since 2015. She has answered so many clinical questions for us and I don’t know where we would be without her help! She is the smartest and sweetest person I know. I am blessed to call her Mom everyday.

Susan has over 25 years of experience as a nurse practitioner and is certified as an adult NP and Acute Care NP. Her expertise is in critical care, cardiology, internal medicine and hospitalist medicine. Susan received her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2011, her Masters in Science Nursing from the University of Alabama in Huntsville in 1998, and her Bachelors in Science Nursing from the University of North Alabama in 1996.

This week, MK Infusion is spotlighting Jodie Byrd, RN, BSN. She has been an integral part of our team since the beginning. I would like to express my sincere gratitude for her tireless efforts and unwavering support to MK Infusion over the past decade. Jodie, a native of the Shoals area, earned her BSN from The University of North Alabama and brings seven years of ICU experience to Team MK. MK Infusion spotlight this week is Julie King, RN. She is a fantastic nurse and we are so grateful to have her on our team.

Julie has 18 years of experience as an RN and her extensive background includes ER nursing, travel nursing, and infusion therapy. Julie specializes in in home IV therapy for infusion of specialty medications. Outside of work, Julie likes traveling to the beach, boating on the river, and spending time with her two sons Preston, 12 and Paxton, 8.

Our MK Infusion spotlight this week is Christina Keeton. She has done a fantastic job learning a completely different field of expertise. She has transitioned from a former law enforcement officer to billing specialist. She handles any job or problem with the same hard work and dedication that has been instilled in her training years ago.

Christina has been working as a Billing Specialist with MK Infusion Pharmacy since April of 2024. Christina is passionate about serving her fellow citizens with an extensive law enforcement background. Christina transitioned into the healthcare field and joined the MK team so that she could still play a role in changing lives by helping others in their time of need. Christina married her husband Shane in 2014, and they have a 5-year-old son, Brycen Ridge. In her spare time, Christina loves to be outdoors. A few of her favorite hobbies include camping with friends and family, cheering Brycen on at his sporting events, and traveling. Christina says, “I love my job at MK Infusion Pharmacy and truly enjoy being a part of this wonderful team by providing support and assistance to our patients.”

MK Infusion is pleased to shine the spotlight on Sydney Thompson, affectionately known as Syd. We are grateful for Sydney's dedication and hard work as an IV Specialist and Registered Nurse, who has been an integral part of the MK Infusion team since April 2023. As a passionate patient advocate, Sydney excels in communicating with her patients. Her specialized expertise includes IV, PICC line, Midline, Port, Hickman care, and maintenance, as well as infusing specialty drugs. Sydney holds an Associate's Degree in Nursing from Northwest Shoals Community College and is currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing at Chamberlain College of Nursing, with an anticipated graduation date of June 2025. Following this achievement, Sydney plans to pursue a Master's Degree in Nursing. Outside of her professional endeavors, Sydney enjoys spending quality time with her husband, Josh, and their two children, Barrett and Blayse, as well as their two dogs, Riley and Ozzie. Her personal interests include reading, weightlifting, indoor cycling, and traveling.

This week’s MK Infusion spotlight is Cori Hambric. We are thankful for all her hard work!

Cori has been a pharmacist for over 15 years and has served MK Infusion Pharmacy part-time since January of 2023. As an Auburn University graduate, her experience includes several different aspects of pharmacy such as independent retail, long-term-care consulting and dispensing, as well as compounding. With her job at MK, she most enjoys being able to follow clients from initiation to end of therapy thereby ensuring appropriate, effective treatments and continuing care. Cori is passionate about learning and teaching and community service. She is actively involved in fundraising for adoptions, volunteering at summer camps and teaching bible classes. In her free time, you will most likely find Cori working with her long arm quilting machine. She also enjoys reading, baking, gardening and camping. She lives on her family's farm with her husband and two children.

MK Infusion spotlight this week is Christen Knox. We are thankful for all her hard work!

Christen has been working as a Certified Pharmacy Technician at MK Infusion Pharmacy since spring of 2022. She has been working in pharmacy since 2018 in a variety of different settings expanding her knowledge from hospital, retail, and chemotherapy before starting at MK Infusion. She is passionate about helping people and loves her role as a pharmacy technician.
She married her husband Austin in 2021 and has three children.
She is a proud bonus mom to Kade and they welcomed Wheeler in 2023 and Ila in 2024. Christen loves spending time with her family and friends.
