Inside Out 2 came out today! The concept behind the movie is beyond emotions — Inside Out 2 does an amazing job of explaining the creation of ones belief system and how essential it is to our sense of self.

As children develop into adolescent, it's essential to create a solid foundation for them to catapult from into adulthood. Adolescents is an essential period as children develop their sense of morality, further their sense of self, and lay the foundation for higher level thinking. Subsequently, it is so important to foster an authoritative environment allowing safe, supportive, and autonomous exploration for development.

Not only does Inside Out 2 discuss development, but they dive into various cognitive strategies as Joy and the four other core emotions help Riley adjust to the complications of puberty.

If you are able, I highly suggest checking out Inside Out 2 and taking the time to discuss the various lessons with your kiddos!
