All of our staff live with a mental health diagnosis and have received extensive training as Certified Peer Support Specialists. We believe strongly that there is hope for recovery and that people like us can get well and stay well when they have hope, take personal responsibility, and learn to be

"an expert on themselves" by learning to identify early warning signs, triggers, and making effective action plans to address these issues. Because many of us have experienced an increase in mental health symptoms as a result of the stigma attached to this diagnosis, we recognize the importance of having a safe and supportive environment where we can share our struggles and triumphs with other people that have similar experiences. Recovery is a journey and not a destination and the Recovery Cooperative is a place where "Peers Support Peers" on this journey.
