🚨 Evacuation Drill Success! 🚨

Last week, Christian Care partnered with the incredible team at the Muskegon Charter Township Fire Department to conduct a full-scale evacuation drill. Safety is always our top priority, and this drill was a vital step in ensuring our preparedness.

A huge shoutout to Dave, our Maintenance/Environmental Services Director, for his leadership, dedication, and the valuable lessons we gained from the experience. Your hard work truly made a difference!

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this drill a success. Together, we’re building a safer, stronger community.💪🔥

From Rehab to Family 💙

What started as a short stay for sub-acute rehab turned into a beautiful chapter we’ll never forget. David came to us with a goal, and while the journey took longer than expected, it gave us the gift of time with someone truly special.

David became a fixture at the front office — chatting with staff, sharing his infectious smile, and lifting everyone’s spirits with his energy. He didn’t just stay with us… he became part of our CC family.

Though we’re sad to see him go, we’re beyond proud of how far he’s come and thrilled for the next adventure that awaits him. You’ll always have a home here. 🦁 🐅 💙🤍🩶🧡

🦋✨ A beautiful moment at our nursing center this week!

Three of our five butterflies hatched and were released into the big world. The Raynor family and our residents have been watching them grow from tiny caterpillars to graceful flyers—and today, we celebrated their journey.

One butterfly even landed gently on a resident, as if to say thank you. 💛

These little wings brought big smiles, and we’re so grateful to share this joy with our community.

Our residents decided to flip the script and surprise Tami, our activities director/super woman with a special-just because-appreciation party.

🦸‍♀️ She’s Not Just Our Activity Director—She’s the Heartbeat of Our Home 💖

Before the walls of our new building were even raised, Tami was already here—bringing joy, comfort, and connection to our residents. She’s not just part of our team; she’s part of our foundation. For years, Tami has been the soul of our nursing center, pouring her heart into every celebration, every conversation, and every quiet moment that needed a little extra love.

To our residents, staff, family members and community, Tami is more than a staff member. She’s their family. Their cheerleader. Their safe place. She remembers and celebrates every birthday, every anniversary, every story that matters. She makes sure no one ever feels forgotten. Every day, she turns ordinary moments into extraordinary memories.

So when the residents decided to throw her a surprise party, it wasn’t just a celebration—it was a tribute. A way to say, “You are our Super Woman, and we see you. We love you. We appreciate you.”
