Excitement is building for the 18th Annual Harbor Hospice Regatta on Wednesday, August 13 at the Muskegon Yacht Club!

A heartfelt thank-you goes out once again to Orthopaedic Associates of Muskegon (OAM) for their generous support as our Mainsail Sponsor. Their continued partnership plays a vital role in helping us meet important needs at the Leila & Cyrus Po**en Hospice Residence.

Regatta proceeds will support urgent capital improvements at the Po**en Hospice Residence, including kitchen equipment, HVAC units, a generator, an accessible bathtub, and a new roof for the 12,000-square-foot facility. Since these capital needs aren’t covered by billing, community support is essential to maintaining a safe and comfortable space for patients and families.

We’re truly grateful to OAM and all who help make this event possible.

We are excited to once again be the signature sponsor of the OAM/i'move Coastie Challenge run! This combo 5K/10K race is part of the Coast Guard City USA Run held annually on opening weekend of the Coast Guard Festival in Grand Haven. This year's race will be held Saturday, July 26 with the 5K start at 7:30 a.m. and the 10K start at 10:30 a.m. All Coastie Challenge participants will receive one of these cool hats! Preston Lockwood is a new member of our PT team. He's a hand therapist who specializes in treating hand/wrist/elbow conditions. He also has a special interest in making upper extremity custom orthoses. He comes to us from New York City where he worked as a Clinical Specialist at Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan. Dr. Miller and Dr. Fras, Orthopaedic Associates of Muskegon trauma surgeons in Grand Rapids, presented at an Emergency Medicine Symposium in Grand Rapids last week. The audience was a mix of EMS groups, and the presentation was very well received. Topics included damage control orthopaedics and pelvic ring injury.
