Stomas and scars can be a reminder of the battles you've fought and won. Even if you find yourself in better health because of them, they can still be difficult to look at. It took me weeks to look at my stoma and months to attempt a change! It was a slow process, and even now, all these years later, I struggle with how they look. I just want to remind you that it's 100% OK to feel this way. Looking down at your belly is a reminder of all you've endured, and that obvious reminder can be hard to face each and every day!
