Today, we honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. We remember and celebrate the heroes whose courage and dedication gave us the freedoms we enjoy every day.

We are especially grateful to the veterans, residents, families, and staff members who have served our nation with pride. This Memorial Day, we pause to reflect, remember, and give thanks.

We were in attendance at the Case Management Society of America - Eastern Oklahoma's annual Education Convention. The theme was, “Light’s, Camera, Action… in Case Management!” Regional Director of Marketing Spring Morrow had the privilege of inviting guest speakers to present to over 250 attendees. We are Diamond Sponsors for the CMSA and sponsored the lunch for the event.

Dan Johnston, our Vice President of Business Development, was present to introduce Robin Viles, our Chief Nursing Officer, as the guest speaker for the lunch. Robin gave a wonderful presentation on communication from skilled nursing center to ER. She had the audience actively engage in thought provoking questions and offered a very informative Q&A session following her presentation. Robin gave one of the strongest presentations that day!

Additionally, our booth won first prize at the event! Thank you to everyone who participated to make this year's event a standout for our organization.

We wore our favorite concert t-shirts today and attended a “Concert in the Courtyard” with dirty popcorn and some Goat therapy from Nurse Caydence today! Eddie Pablo enjoyed visiting our residents and even got a little therapy from Ryan to recover from his injury! 😂 We also enjoyed the “Snack Shack” in the back of Andrea’s car- courtesy of Emerald Hospice and Cornerstone Caregiving! Thank you to Season’s Hospice for the cookies and Muskogee County EMS for remembering us! It’s a great week at The Manor! ❤️

This past week, we have tried our best to spoil and celebrate the nurses who spend all year taking care of everyone else. Because behind every med pass, every chart, every fall, every admission, every skin assessment, every “just one more thing,” and every exhausted walk back down the hall… is a nurse with a huge heart making a huge difference whether they realize it or not. We’ve celebrated with Mini-Massages, Breakfasts being brought in, Nothing Bundt Cakes, a Dirty Popcorn Bar, Iced Coffee, A Lunch and Learn Luncheon, but my favorite was having the staff dress up as their favorite nurse today! We have some of the very best nurses making a huge difference in the lives of our residents as well as the staff they lead and work beside on their shifts! A great BIG Happy Nurses Week to all of the incredible nurses out there! A special thank you to Betty, our Activities Director and her Assistant Donnie for helping plan all the great activities this week as well as Andrea from Emerald Hospice for always fixing us up with food and goodies and Lindsey LMT for the incredible massages! We appreciate all of you! What a great day to be at The Manor! 🫶🏼

🔥🌶️ Our annual Chili Cookoff was one for the books! As always, our residents—aka the toughest critics around—took their judging roles very seriously, and they loved every minute of it. There was definitely some stiff competition this year, with flavors all across the board bringing their A-game!
Now for the winners…
🥇 1st Place: Brittoney Jackson—(And NO, it was NOT rigged! lol)
🥈 2nd Place: Betty Crabtree from Activities
🥉 3rd Place: Josh Hobson, our Maintenance Supervisor and a newcomer to both Broadway and the competition—who also brought the BEST cornbread to pair with his spicy chili!
Events like this remind us how much fun we can have together and how special our Broadway family truly is. Already looking forward to next year… I have a feeling the competition will be even tougher! Don’t forget to stop by our booth this weekend at the 42nd Annual Chili Cookoff at Hatbox to try our Resident Approved Chili, BBQ, Hot Links and Beans!! 🔥 🌶️

An incredibly “Good Friday” was had at the Manor complete with a cookout and incredible sides! Thank you to our Maintenance Team and Dietary Team for the wonderful meal!
Special thanks to the Connor’s Nursing Students for their assistance the day before with coloring eggs!
It’s a GREAT time to be at The Manor! Happy Easter! ❤️
