To assist the Dentist in both administrative and clinical duties including: prepare patient for procedure or exam, sterilize and disinfect instruments, set up instrument trays, prepare materials, and assist during dental procedures. Provide patient and practice support services, including, but not limited to, personal assistance and medical attention. The ideal candidate thrives on organization and understands the value of supporting others.

Must possess required license/certifications for Certified Dental Assistant (passed DANB), CPR, nitrous oxide monitoring, and x-rays.

Have experience working as a chairside dental assistant for at least 1-years.

The first point of contact for our patients is the Front Desk Receptionist. As first impressions are lasting, it is imperative that our personnel portray patience, understanding, and professionalism.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Maintenance of patient's chart:
• Patient demographics
• Billing information
• Copy photo I.D. and insurance card
• Obtain necessary consent form signatures, including HIPAA policy

2. Schedule patient appointments:
• New and follow up appointments within the practice

3. Assist with incoming phone calls:
• Manage incoming calls and transfer appropriately
• Take complete and accurate messages and ensure message delivery in a timely manner

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
• Ability to maintain a cheerful, positive and respectful attitude
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
• Good telephone, computer, and typing skills

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• High School graduate or equivalent
• 1+ year experience as medical receptionist preferred, but not required
