Whether it is a micro adventure, an entire retreat or simply an hour or two to disconnect from the everyday hustle. all year long!

Just Breathe Adventure Co. owner and lead instructor, Sara Washburn, is the only certified SUP (stand up paddle) instructor with a WPA level 2 certification in the Yakima Valley. As an E-RYT for over the last decade it was a natural transition to unite the love of water and mountains with yoga and the meditation that stand up paddling offers. With her expertise we provide paddle lessons from beginner to race status on the lake or flowing down the river, micro adventure events, private parties, and of course SUP Yoga!

You can find your zen on solid ground with one of our yoga offerings as well. Private group yoga classes, one on one sessions or combine your love for the outdoors, hiking and yoga with our Adventure retreats! During the chilly months of winter we keep the stoke alive and work with White Pass Ski area guiding snowshoe tours, some followed by yoga and Long John Yoga in the nordic yurt!

Weekend Vibes coming in strong! ☀️🌄
First week of school is nearly done, epic adventures are planned and getting to my mat this week has certainly helped balance the emotions of the last few weeks.
Transitions are weird. Sometimes we can be so aware of them they rock us to the core. Sometimes they happen overtime, slowly, subtly, that we don’t even realize what’s happening at the moment.
Whatever kind of transition you are in, or have settled into recently I hope you have peace and a smile on your face. Remembering the only constant is change and the opposite of growth is stagnant, and nothing can flourish in stagnant waters. 😁✌🏼🧘🏼‍♀️

I got a little selfish with my time because my life depended on it. And you should too.
I see you — putting yourself last for years, carrying the weight of everyone else’s needs, telling yourself:
❌ “I don’t have time for something like this.”
❌ “Spending money on myself feels selfish.”
❌ “I wouldn’t even know where to start.”

There was a time when I felt stuck—like my path was set, and there was no turning back. But here’s what I’ve come to deeply understand and learned from this Asana (pose)

It’s never too late to choose a new way.

Malasana—the yogi squat I’m committed to doing even when I’m 85—is more than just a pose.

It’s a movement that clears and awakens three powerful energy centers in the body:
🌿 The Root Chakra, our foundation of safety and stability.
🌊 The Sacral Chakra, the seat of creativity and flow.
☀️ The Solar Plexus Chakra, where personal power and choice ignite.

When I settle into Malasana, I feel grounded, open, and empowered all at once. It reminds me that no matter where I am in life, I have the choice to root down, to flow freely, and to step into my power.

Yet, there was a time I couldn’t do this. I couldn’t find this shape with ease or comfort. I couldn’t find stability or safety within myself and certainly didn’t have creativity. I didn’t know my own worth or the power I held within. This wasn’t just one time either, throughout different seasons of my life I fought with these very things over & over. And with practice, discipline for myself and continuing to show up, even when it was so friggin’ hard I can feel the abundance of freedom and joy right here within this shape.

Let this be your reminder too.

If you’re feeling stuck or unsure, remember:
You’re never locked in place. You can always find a new path.
