Adopt-a-Family is back! Deadline to adopt is Wednesday, Nov. 30.

Christmas is a special time of year, but for families escaping abuse it can be a time of stress and uncertainty. Imagine the relief a survivor parent will feel knowing their children will have presents to open on Christmas morning.

Last year, ALL 91 families—including 187 children—were adopted, and you can be the reason the same Christmas miracle happens again this year.

Here’s how Adopt-a-Family works:
Send an email request to aturner@fccet.com or call Angela Turner at 936-639-1681.

Families of all sizes are available for adoption. You will be emailed the wish list of a family and instructions for gift delivery. Shop for two wish items plus an item of clothing or shoes per family member.

Deliver unwrapped gifts to the agency’s Lufkin administrative office by Thursday, Dec. 8. The office is open 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Outside of Lufkin? Unwrapped gifts can be dropped off at the Nacogdoches, San Augustine or Crockett outreach office too. Please include wrapping supplies so the parent can feel included in the joy of giving.

Thank you so much for sharing peace and joy with survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking this holiday season. Merry Christmas!
