Spent some special time making memories with family ❤️

I had the joy of visiting with my nephews—Ryan, Roland Jr., and LaMarJay—who participated in Camp Collide with Timber Creek Church. So proud of them!

My niece Kloe truly shined, excelling in the Elite Dance Competition with Venetia’s Studio and American Cheer Elite—what an incredible accomplishment!

And the biggest surprise of all… a visit from my niece Breanna. Seeing her made the moment even more meaningful.

Shoutout to Roland Sr.—after putting in work in the garden, we still made it to the gym. Discipline on another level! He’s even been schooling me on Dave Ramsey—I’m taking notes!

Moments like these are a reminder that family is everything. 💫

Honored to attend the Veterans Stand Down this past Saturday, April 18, at the Walmart Supercenter.

A heartfelt thank you to Walmart, the organizers, and our incredible community for showing up in such a meaningful way to support our veterans. Events like this remind us that service doesn’t end when the uniform comes off—it continues through the strength of community, compassion, and connection.

A special thank you to my nephews for proudly manning the King Vision tent—you represented with excellence and heart. Your support means more than words can express.

To every veteran who attended: we see you, we honor you, and we thank you for your sacrifice.

This question seems to bubble up a lot.
Seltzer isn't necessarily bad for your teeth, but it’s also not as harmless as plain water. The carbonation makes it slightly acidic, which can slowly weaken enamel if you sip it throughout the day.

That doesn’t mean you need to stop drinking it. It just means a few simple habits can help protect your smile. Try enjoying seltzer with meals instead of continuously sipping, use a straw when you can, and follow it with plain water to help neutralize the acidity. It’s also best to wait about 20–30 minutes before brushing, since enamel can be softer right after exposure to acids.

While in the nation’s capital for Women Veterans Public Policy Day, I couldn’t resist stopping in front of a fellow eye doctor’s office. No matter where I go, I’m always inspired by the work we do to protect and preserve vision.

Serving those who serve—both in policy and in patient care—is something I carry with me everywhere.
