We are grateful for the swift, decisive actions of the Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Office deputies highlighted in this report.

Their quick response and decision to transport an 18-month-old child directly to Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital allowed emergency care to begin without delay. Our Emergency Department team was prepared to receive the child and continue lifesaving care before transfer to Texas Children’s Hospital.

We commend the deputies for their professionalism and commitment to protecting our community. This is an outstanding example of teamwork across public safety and healthcare.
