Our office wishes everyone excellent health and a meaningful Easter. We are all so very thankful for the opportunity to serve people of all ages, in so many ways.
Congratulations to Sandi who is now a first time LuLu to Kohen Adkison.
Our schedule has changed, somewhat with daylight savings time. Generally hours are 745/8am-4pm Mon_Thurs. Dr. Polk is out of the office on Fridays but the staff is in the office on Fridays from 8-11am. Dr. Polk performs colonoscopies at 7am at the Surgery Center.
We will have an outstanding young physician scheduled to join Dr. Polk in 3 years time. More details to follow later.
We look forward to continued good health for everyone and helping our friends. As always, be safe and kind.

Just as a reminder the office will be closing before lunch on Wednesday and will remain closed until Monday. Unless it is urgent, please leave a voicemail and we will be happy to call you back when we return. For ALL emergencies, go to the ER so that you can be looked at by a Physician.

We are wanting to let our patients know that this week Dr. Polk is on vacation and will not be in the office or near his phone, so please DO NOT call his cell phone. If you need anything, the office will remain open Monday- Thursday 8 am -4pm and Friday 8am- 11am. We are here to refill medications and assist with anything we can. We will try and hold down the fort while he's away!!

Happy Holidays

For those of you who received a Blue Cross Blue Shield letter stating Dr. Polk was no longer in network with them, as inconvenient as it is, please call the number on your card to make sure he is reinstated as your P*P. Not everyone was affected by their error, but we want to make sure your claims will be paid properly and on time. Thank you so much for your cooperation.

Good day to you all,
I would like to share an update of our practice.
First of all, rumors of my retirement are much premature and unfounded as I plan to continue practicing and teaching medical students for a long time.
Secondly, we still see patients as previously, accepting most quality insurance plans, Medicare and Tricare. Recently some insurers have sent notice that I am no longer in their network. This is an administrative error on their part. Please call the
office at 936-569-9238 if you have any questions.
Thirdly, we will be welcoming Dr. Riley Little to our practice in mid April. Dr. Little and his wife, Sarah, and baby Eloise will be relocating here shortly. Dr. Little is board certified in family medicine and possesses the skills, aptitude, communication skills and attributes desirous of a true family physician.
Together, we will continue to enjoy the practice of medicine (not the "business" of medicine) as we continue to provide the high quality, very cost-effective comprehensive family medicine to the wonderful people of East Texas.
