Donate Blood and Save Lives
The need for blood, plasma, and platelet donations never stops. Every day, the Red Cross must collect nearly 13,000 blood donations to support patients in about 2,500 hospitals nationwide.This life-saving effort continues regardless of the season, weather, or holidays. Finding a place to donate is easy!

to schedule your next donation appointment.
Tips to Prepare for Your Donation
Eat iron-rich foods: Incorporate items like meat, fish, poultry, spinach, fortified cereals, or raisins into your meals.

We have the opportunity to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and the dream he shared with the world… a dream built on kindness, fairness, and caring for one another. His words remind us that real change begins when we choose compassion even when it’s difficult, and we stand up for what is right.
Dr. King said, “The time is always right to do what is right.” At HMG, this guides us every day. It means caring for every person with respect, listening with empathy, and serving with integrity. In his “I Have a Dream” speech, Dr. King spoke of a world where all men are treated equally and judged by their character. Today, we are reminded of that dream and we can honor that dream by committing ourselves to dignity, equity, and compassionate care for all.

Let’s make sure that we remember to slow down today… Though we are surrounded by the hustle and bustle that Christmas brings… we can reflect on this special day, we are reminded of the hope, love, and peace that this season represents. Inspired by the joy of Christ’s birth, we are especially grateful for our incredible team. They show compassion, kindness, and servant hearts every single day of the year. Nothing is better than receiving a surprise letter in the mail! Receiving a personal correspondence can brighten up a winter day! The holidays are the perfect time to put pen to paper, and connect via written word with a senior living resident, a grandchild, a tamily member, an old friend or neighbor.
Five reasons to write a letter this month:
* Connect with loved ones
* Spread holiday cheer
* Express creativity
* Reflect on events of the past year
* Create keepsakes and memories
Consider including a holiday card or photographs with your letter.
Have fun and purchase some festive new stationery or personalize your stationery by making your own with markers, stickers, and doodles!
