🌍 Happy World Occupational Therapy Day from Grace in Motion Rehab 🌍

Today we celebrate the heart of healing and the dedicated clinicians who make transformation possible every day in Occupational Therapy!

At Grace in Motion Rehab, our occupational therapists empower individuals to reclaim independence, restore function, and rediscover purpose. Whether it’s an adult recovering from injury, managing a chronic condition, or rebuilding strength after surgery, our therapists use evidence-based, client-centered care to help each person return to meaningful daily life.

💪 How We Help Adults:
Our adult OT team focuses on improving mobility, coordination, and cognitive and functional skills needed for daily living. From upper extremity rehabilitation and adaptive strategies to energy conservation and home safety education, we tailor each plan to the person, not the diagnosis.

Our pediatric therapists bring creativity and compassion to help children build motor, sensory, and self-care skills in a fun, supportive environment that fosters confidence and growth.

💛 A Heartfelt Thank You:
To every member of our Grace in Motion OT team: Thank you for your unwavering commitment, faith-driven compassion, and tireless dedication to helping others thrive. Your hands bring healing, your hearts bring hope, and your service reflects the true spirit of grace in motion.

Every day, you help our community live stronger, more independent, and more joyful lives.

🇺🇸 Happy 4th of July from all of us at Grace in Motion Rehab! 🇺🇸

Today we celebrate the blessing of living in a free nation. A freedom we don’t take for granted. Even more, we’re thankful for the freedom we have in Christ, who gives us hope, healing, and purpose.

May your day be filled with peace, gratitude, and the joy of freedom.

Today is not just a day off. It is a day of sacred remembrance.

At Grace in Motion Rehab, we pause to honor the true meaning of Memorial Day—a day set apart to remember the courageous men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our freedom. Their lives were given not for glory or recognition, but for love of country, neighbor, and the generations who would come after them.

As we reflect on their sacrifice, we hold close the words of John 15:13: “Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.”

This verse reminds us that freedom comes at a cost—a cost paid by heroes who chose service over self. May we never take that freedom lightly. Today, we remember. We honor. And we give thanks.

May their legacy lead us to live with purpose, serve with compassion, and walk always in grace.

Today, we pause in gratitude and awe as we reflect on the hope and promise of Easter. At Grace in Motion, we are reminded that true healing begins with grace—the kind shown to us through Christ’s resurrection.

“He is not here; He has risen, just as He said.”
— Matthew 28:6 (NIV)

May this Easter bring renewed faith, peace, and joy to your heart and home. As we celebrate, let us hold close the gentle reminder that love conquered death and that grace abounds in every season of life.

From all of us at Grace in Motion, we wish you and your loved ones a beautiful and blessed Easter.

🌟 Meet Our Team 🌟

Introducing Celina Hawthorne, OTR, OTD – Owner, Director, and Occupational Therapist!

💬 “Occupational therapy is more than a profession for me—it’s a calling. I believe in empowering individuals through grace and personal connection, no matter their challenges.”

❤️ What Celina loves most about Grace in Motion Rehab: “We are a place of hope and healing. My faith is the foundation of how I serve, guiding me to provide compassionate, client-centered care, and our doors are open to everyone. Every person who walks through our doors is valued, welcomed, and supported.”

“At Grace in Motion, we don’t just treat a diagnosis—we treat the person. Every individual we work with has a unique story, set of challenges, and personal goals, whether they are learning new skills, regaining mobility, recovering from injury, forging a new path, or navigating life’s changes. We approach every person with fresh eyes, knowing that no two people are the same. What sets this practice apart is the depth of compassion and empathy woven into everything we do—gifts that we believe God has called us to use in service to others. When someone leaves our space, we want them to feel heard, supported, and truly cared for in a way that goes beyond traditional therapy.”

🌳 Hobbies: “Spending time with my husband and three amazing kiddos, diving into my faith, serving at my church, and fueling my coffee obsession (seriously, I might be 90% caffeine at this point 🤪).”

🐔 Fun fact: “I have a ton of chickens—and yes, they all have names. I hatch my own eggs, raise them up, and treat them like family. If you’ve never cuddled a chicken, you’re missing out on the best dopamine boost out there! Maybe our next big project should be… chicken therapy?! 🤪”

📚 Passion project: “Teaching future generations of occupational therapists at Baylor University—because shaping the next wave of compassionate, skilled OTs is just as rewarding as the work I do in the clinic.”

“Life is never boring around here, and I wouldn’t have it any other way!”

✨ Why I do what I do: “I know firsthand the power of therapy to change lives. My own journey led me to occupational therapy at 11 years old, and it has become my passion and purpose. Whether it’s helping someone find relief from pain, gain independence, build confidence, or experience life in new ways, I am committed to meeting each person where they are and supporting them in what matters most to them. My faith is the foundation of my work, shaping the way I serve with compassion, excellence, and a deep respect for every individual’s unique journey. At the end of the day, my greatest joy comes from seeing people rediscover their strength, find hope in the process, and know they are never alone in their journey.”

We’re so grateful for Celina’s leadership, heart for others, and dedication to making a difference! Call or stop by today to learn more about how we can help!

🌿 Unlocking Movement & Reducing Pain: Myofascial Release & OT 🌿

Do you ever feel like your muscles are tight, achy, or restricted? That might be due to fascia— a web-like connective tissue that surrounds and supports your muscles, nerves, and organs. When fascia becomes tight due to injury, stress, or poor posture, it can cause pain and limit mobility.

✨ Myofascial Release (MFR) is a gentle, hands-on technique used by occupational therapists to reduce pain, improve movement, and restore function. By applying sustained pressure to tight areas, MFR helps release restrictions in the fascia, allowing for improved mobility and decreased discomfort.

💡 How Can Occupational Therapy Help?
✅ Reduce chronic pain & tension
✅ Improve flexibility & range of motion
✅ Enhance posture & body awareness
✅ Support recovery from injury or surgery
✅ Decrease headaches & joint pain

At Grace in Motion Rehab, we use evidence-based techniques like myofascial release to help you move more freely and live without pain. If you or a loved one could benefit from MFR, reach out to learn more about how Grace in Motion can support your wellness journey!
