During National Nurses Week, Outer Banks Health nurses gave back to the community by creating and donating more than 75 mindfulness kits to Outer Banks Hotline, Inc.

These kits were assembled to offer comfort and support to women facing difficult circumstances. Thank you to our nurses for their compassion and commitment to caring for our community both inside and outside the hospital!

Outer Banks Health was honored to attend the Elizabethan Gardens Annual Luncheon and Butterfly Release, celebrating the beauty and community that make the gardens so special. We are grateful to receive a special recognition for our continued commitment and support of the Elizabethan Gardens throughout 2025 and the years prior. 🌼

We’d also like to congratulate Cowell Cancer Center team member Caroline Uzel on being named the Elizabethan Gardens' Volunteer of the Year. Thank you, Caroline, for your dedication and support of our community.

Thank you to everyone who joined us on Saturday for the 5th Annual Stroke Awareness Walk. We’re grateful to patients, survivors, family members, friends and Outer Banks Health team members who came out to support stroke awareness and celebrate strength, resilience and community. 💙🐝

We were also proud to partner with Manteo High School for their Move Your Brain mental health awareness walk and appreciate the support from Thriveobx and 102.5 The Shark for helping bring the community together around health and connection.

We’re so grateful to Zach's Toy Chest for their generous donation of more than $1,000 worth of toys and games for our pediatric patients. 💙

These thoughtful donations help bring comfort, distraction and a little extra joy to children during their time in the hospital. The toys were shared across our emergency department, inpatient units and surgery department.

Thank you for making a difference for our youngest patients and their families!
