Outer Banks Health’s 2026 Gala for Well-Being: Stayin’ Alive with ThriveOBX is set for Saturday, March 28.

Step back into the 70s for a night of disco glam and good vibes. This formal-attire-preferred event will benefit ThriveOBX and support well-being across our community. Enjoy exceptional cuisine, drinks, live music, dancing and a late-night silent disco. 🪩🎧

Plus, don’t miss the Escape to the Beauty of Greece Raffle. One lucky winner will receive an eight-night, three-city getaway for two to Athens, Crete and Santorini, including roundtrip flights, luxury hotel stays, guided tours and seamless transfers. Only 400 tickets will be sold at $100 each. The winner will be selected at the Gala and does not need to be present to win. Raffle ticket purchase does not grant admission to the event.

We were honored to welcome former NFL linebacker Chris Draft to Outer Banks Health for a special UNC Get Real and Heel session.

Get Real & Heel is a free exercise program designed for people affected by cancer, facilitated by Outer Banks Health Cancer Services in collaboration with the Center for Healthy Living, Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehab, Physical Therapy, and Occupational Therapy. During Chris’s visit, participants enjoyed a light workout and a walk through the hospital together.

Following the session, Chris toured the Cowell Cancer Center and connected with team members to learn more about the cancer care services available here on the Outer Banks.
