Spring is in the Air — and So Are Seasonal Allergies!

As the weather warms up and flowers begin to bloom, many kids (and adults!) start to feel the familiar signs of seasonal allergies: sneezing, runny noses, itchy eyes, and even cough or congestion. With local pollen counts on the rise, now is the time to be proactive!

Here are a few tips to help manage allergy symptoms:
• Keep windows closed during high pollen days, especially at night.
• Change clothes and wash up after being outdoors.
• Use a HEPA filter in your home to trap allergens.
• Talk to your provider about safe and effective allergy medications for your child.

Flu is making its way through our community, and we want to help keep your family as healthy as possible. Here are some simple but effective ways to slow the spread:

✅ Get vaccinated

🧼 Wash hands frequently – Use soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after coughing, sneezing, or touching shared surfaces.

😷 Cover coughs and sneezes – Use a tissue or your elbow to keep germs from spreading.

🏡 Stay home when sick – If your child has a fever, they should stay home until they are fever-free for at least 24 hours without medication.

🧽 Clean and disinfect – Wipe down frequently touched surfaces like doorknobs, light switches, and phones.

💧 Stay hydrated & rest – Drinking plenty of fluids and getting enough sleep can help strengthen the immune system.
