At Hands of Hope Northwest, we loan durable medical equipment to local residents for up to six months, much like a library loans books. 📚 Our Local Loan Program is designed for temporary use, helping bridge the gap for those who need short-term medical support while they work toward a more permanent solution.

Knee Scooters 🛴🦵
Knee scooters are a great alternative to crutches for individuals recovering from foot, ankle, or lower leg injuries. They allow users to rest their knee on a padded platform while moving forward with their good leg—offering increased comfort, stability, and ease of movement compared to traditional crutches.

Have you ever wondered what our volunteers do? Let’s take a look! 🔍

When enough medical supplies have been received and processed—and the funds for a shipment are in place—our volunteers step in to load a 40-foot container bound for a country in need. From operating forklifts to move large pallets and equipment to carefully hand-loading smaller boxes one by one, every item is packed with purpose until the container is full. 📦🚛

This hands-on work is a powerful way our volunteers help deliver hope across the globe. 🌍

We’re excited to announce that we are giving away commodes!

Commodes provide essential support for individuals who need assistance with toileting.

To get a commode, just come on in and take a look at our inventory. Please be sure to know the weight of the user to ensure you get the right size and type of commode for your requirements. You can then come pick it up during our office hours (Monday-Friday, 9:00 am-2:00 pm).

💙 Hands of Hope Local Loan Program 💙

Did you know we loan out durable medical equipment to local residents for up to 6 months—just like checking out a book from the library? 📚🦽

✅ Most items are free to borrow with no deposit required.
✅ Hospital beds require only a refundable $50 deposit.
✅ All equipment is meant for temporary use, giving you time to heal or save up for a permanent solution.

From wheelchairs and walkers to hospital beds and bath seats, our program helps bridge the gap for those in need of short-term support.

📚 Think of Us Like a Medical Equipment Library

Much like a local library, Hands of Hope Northwest loans durable medical equipment to residents in our community for up to six months. In this series, we’re highlighting some of the items commonly available through our Local Loan Program.

🚿 Shower Chairs
Shower chairs provide a safe place to sit while bathing for individuals who need extra support. They may include armrests, a backrest, or both—and many models have adjustable height or removable/lowerable armrests to meet individual needs.
