You think you need a fresh start.I thought I did too.
This summer, I broke my leg.And I couldn’t teach — not for weeks, not for months.I wasn’t just healing my body. I was letting go of what I thought I had to be.
I kept telling myself, “I’ll start over when I’m ready.”But ready didn’t come with a deadline. It came slowly. One moment of trust at a time.
Recently, I taught my first class since the injury. And even now, I know I can’t go back to how it was.I’m not supposed to.
I’m still returning to myself. Still learning what my body needs. Still taking it slow. Not because I’m broken. But because I’m listening.
So if you’re thinking you need a January reset?Maybe you don’t.Maybe you just need to continue — with more care. More compassion. More room to meet yourself where you actually are.
You’re not behind.You’re not starting over.You’re still here.And that’s enough.

Your HSA/FSA dollars are sitting there.A lot of people forget about them until December sneaks up fast.
Before you default to another oversized bottle of ibuprofen, pause. You can use those funds for yoga, class packs, sauna sessions, workshops, or gift cards for 2026.
If you need a Letter of Medical Necessity, comment FUNDS and we’ll send you the link.If you want help setting everything up, send us a message. We walk you through it on the phone. Takes 5 minutes.
Support your body now and give future you fewer excuses.Just show up.

This is what happens when you sit down to “work” and somehow end up talking about plane tickets, schedules, and whether your body feels good enough to enjoy any of it. Somewhere in there, we realized we don’t really have a Christmas list anymore.
It’s not because we don’t like gifts. It’s because what we actually want looks different now. We want days that feel steady. We want our bodies to feel strong enough to keep up with our lives. We want work that matters and enough energy left over to enjoy it. Once you start living like that, it gets hard to wait for December to ask for it.
Also, when you already have a Greece trip on the calendar for 2026, the bar for a stocking stuffer gets pretty high.
So we’re curious about you.If your list wasn’t about stuff and was more about how you want to feel, what would you put on it?

You know that feeling when you’re halfway down a staircase and something shifts in you?Not because the steps are special, but because you’re different than when you started and there’s a whole world of opportunities at the bottom. These stairs made me think about that.
There is something about taking one step, then another, then another, and realizing you’re becoming someone new without noticing it in real time. You see it later when you look back and think, “I’m not the person who started at the top.”
Growth works like that. It is quiet and steady. One choice leads to another and then “suddenly” your whole world has changed.
That is the same energy around our teacher training group starting January 23. People imagine the transformation happens at the end, but it begins the moment they decide to begin. Those first few small steps turn into something bigger than they expected.

Tell me where in your life you are taking small steps that are already changing you.

You think you need calm music when you feel anxious. Then your whole body says “Put on Foo Fighters. Turn it up.”
If you’re like us, you grew up regulating to loud guitars, not ocean sounds. Your system remembers what settles you. You feel wired. You hit play. Your shoulders drop before you notice.
And here’s the part people skip over.Science backs you.Slow tracks shift your brain into alpha waves and drop stress hormones fast.Loud, high-energy music hits dopamine, lifts mood for most people, and helps your body recover from stress. So no, when you put on Foo Fighters, Tupac, Beastie Boys, Pearl Jam, or Bell Big DeVoe, “you’re not too much.”You’re reading your cues.
Some folks settle with quiet yoga. Some settle with a beat that shakes the room. Both regulate. Both count. Both bring you back to yourself.
Stop judging yourself because you want a Rump Shaker and not Enya!
Come on Nampa and Caldwell, tell us your go-to Gen X song.We want your playlist.

Covid. Flu. Shingles. All in one visit. My arms were on fire and I felt like hot garbage for two days.
But listen.I’d rather feel rough for two days than spend weeks wiped out.I live with an autoimmune condition, so protecting myself and the people around me matters more than a little discomfort. That’s grown-up care. Not glamorous. Still worth it.Caring for yourself doesn’t always feel good at first, but it does help you stay steady in the long run. That’s what we teach here.
If your body needs support in Nampa or Caldwell (zero shots involved) while you handle your own “doing the right thing even when it stings” season, comment Intro and I’ll send the new student intro offer.

You can push harder, but it won’t make you more lovable (you’re already lovable). You’ve tried doing everything alone. How about letting someone support you for once?Walk into class and notice how fast your body responds when it’s not fighting for survival.
Small Business Saturday gives you real, doable ways to feel steady in Nampa and Caldwell.
Comment Turkey and I’ll send the full list so you can choose what feels right.

“I absolutely LOVE this yoga studio. Options for all bodies. Safe, supportive, empowering.”– Julie

Your ear hurts, but the real problem sits in your jaw.

You know that nagging earache or ringing that shows up out of nowhere. It often isn’t your ear at all. The masseter sits close to the nerves that wrap around your ear. When it locks up, the pain follows the nerve line.

Try this:
• Place your Tune Up Ball along the inside and outside of your jaw near the ear.
• Press lightly. Move in small circles or gentle pulses.
• Add slow clench and unclench movements to boost circulation and soften the fascia.
• Keep your breath steady so your nervous system relaxes while the tissue releases.

You might be surprised by how fast this shifts.

If you don’t have balls, don’t worry. We’ve got balls. We’ve got balls in the studio. We’ve got balls in our link in bio. No one should be without balls.

Skip the awkward conversations with the flexibility of a yogi and a side of turkey.
Here are simple ways to keep your peace while everyone else argues over nothing.

Take a regulated break
Excuse yourself to “check the rolls” or “grab water.” A few quiet minutes away from the table helps your body settle. No need to announce anything.

Ground under the table
Press your feet into the floor. Sit tall. Notice 3 things you see, 3 you hear, 3 you feel. Bring yourself back into your body before you react to someone else’s noise.

Use your breath quietly
Soft exhale through the mouth. Let your shoulders drop. Keep it subtle. You’re caring for yourself, not performing calm for the room.

Widen your focus
Pull your attention off the “spicy talk.” Notice the whole room instead of tracking every comment like it’s a courtroom transcript.

Offer a neutral pivot
If it feels safe, try “Let’s take a break from this one” and shift to dessert or a shared memory. No one came here for surprise debate club.

Give yourself permission to opt out
You don’t need to fix anyone. You don’t need to educate anyone. You don’t need to sit in every conversation. Go where your body settles, even if that means the kitchen or the kids’ table.

Save this for when the table heats up and you want peace more than you want to win a point.

You want a retreat where you feel connected, not awkward or left out.
This trip gives you real community, shared meals, belly laughs, and people who stay close, not scattered.
You’ll move, rest, explore, and make memories with a group that cares if you’re there.
No wandering alone, wondering where everyone went.
Teresa already has her Greek phrase book out, getting ready for all the moments we’ll share.
