⚡️Friday FEELINGS⚡️

Before I dip off into the long weekend, with no real set plans, except a long run, rest days, sunshine, swims, food, and just possibly some good cocktails, I want to just throw out a little reminder…⬇️

This space can get REAL noisy…There is so much being thrown at us daily as to HOW to eat; HOW much damn protein to eat; what NOT to eat; HOW to workout; when NOT to workout; HOW to heal; HOW to do this and that and this and that…It doesn’t end! Sometimes I want to pull my own hair out, because it can get overwhelming for me too!🤦🏼‍♀️

When it comes to food, fitness, health, self-care, do YOU! Listen to your heart, your voice, and do what makes YOU happy! Disconnect, soak up the sunshine, eat a good meal, hug a loved one, and live your life! Social Media can be a great resource, but it also can lead you down a dark hole!💀

On this holiday weekend…don’t go down that hole!💙

Chicken Thighs on REPEAT🤌🏻

More BASIC, easy, super simple suppers happening over here and I am all for it! They are nourishing as well and fueling my healthy adventures. I am getting the protein, fats, and carbohydrates, so it’s a WIN WIN!🍽️

Here’s how to make them ⬇️
▫️Season with Nothin’ But The Ranch, garlic powder, red pepper flakes
▫️Heat up air fryer to 400 degrees
Cook for 35-40 minutes (I like the skin extra crispy, so I keep it in closer to 40 minutes)

And honestly, it’s a rotation between a Japanese sweet potato and Jasmine rice…Whatever is on hand or I am craving. Summer suppers are all about EASY!!!☀️😎

You never know who you will meet at and how that person can have such an important impact on your life! A little intense…YES…but true…even more YES! I love that at 45 years old I am still meeting new friends who inspire me daily personally and professionally. That I am still able to be vulnerable and open up to new people. And that these people get me, align with me, and are willing to ride the waves with me.🧜🏻‍♀️🌊

This beautiful human is one of them! and I met on the mat and well the rest is history…Like minded souls, with big dreams, big hearts, and more importantly always wanting to have fun…She’s inspiring me to stick with my dreams, keep trucking, but also just be open and free and that is exactly what I need for this chapter in my life.💙

is a community of like-minded people, who want to do the work, who aren’t afraid to show up on their bad days, who are passionate about health and wellness, but also living their best lives, who want to connect with others, and most importantly just want their asses kicked, while having a good time!🤙🏻⚡️🧘🏼‍♀️

It’s all about the people and it’s why I show up so much! You never know who you will meet and who will inspire you on some of your hardest days!🌺

If you don’t know me…I’m Katie…I’m an athlete, who LOVES to train hard, move daily, and is always happy planning my workouts for the week ahead. WHY? Because they help keep me accountable, inspire me to stay strong, healthy, nourished, and motivate me to do better and be better.🏃🏼‍♀️🧘🏼‍♀️💦

Do I break the schedule? OF COURSE…I’m not a paid athlete, I’m currently not training for anything, so if I wake up and it’s pouring rain, I will not run outside. My mood and body are always changing, so my workout schedule can change too, but most of the time, I do stick to the plan, because I’m Type A crazy person.🤣

In this season, I am craving running and ! So that is what I’m doing! I am getting what I need from my outdoor runs mentally and physically and then the awesome combo of Vinyasa, strength training, sculpt, and balls to wall workouts at . It is my happy combo right now! Plus, is also my support system. Seeing my people weekly is a constant inspiration. As you can tell by my schedule, I’m obsessed.💙

It was a beautiful Spring day to venture downtown and meet a friend for lunch ! As soon as I walked in the door, I fell in love with the design, the vibe, the smells, and obviously the food, which is all viewable while you place your order.☀️🌿

Did you know that Harken’s Cafe’s delicious havoc in the kitchen is made possible with the finest local ingredients proudly sourced from local purveyors?!?!? LOVE LOVE LOVE! It’s a sweet surprise that I cannot wait to venture back to…The whoopie pie is calling my name!🫶🏻

I ordered the “Sandwich of the Day” which was the “Turkey Gouda Sundried Tomato Focaccia”. No crumb was left behind!💚

The foodie world is quite small and it was so awesome to FINALLY connect with at yesterday and devour bagels, talk SM, work, and life in Charleston.☀️🌺

Sweaty, intense, ball busting workouts need LOTS of nourishment, so I am eating ALL THE THINGS and fueling this body to do ALL THE THINGS! Here is a quick glimpse of some of my favorite meals over the past couple of weeks, that were all made at home!🏡

✔️Scrambled Veggie Omelet, Avocado, and
✔️Air Fried Salmon and Japanese Sweet Potato

Life Lately🙏🏻🌸💛

Gave myself permission to step away for a minute to do a little “spring cleaning”! It was that time of the year when I needed to reset, recharge, regroup, and take some time to myself. At 45, I’m still amazed that I am doing this, but I love it and I love to inspire others to move, nourish, and live their best lives through consistency, balance, but also FREEDOM!🧜🏻‍♀️

Going to take my own advice and step into this fresh chapter with no fear and positive vibes!🦋

Buddha Bowl🤙🏻🥗☀️

Trying to recreate some of my favorite Costa Rica recipes that made my body and mind happy and healthy! Simple…Real…Nourishing ingredients that included lots of protein, fats, and all the other delicious things that my body needed to surf. When I felt that good, why wouldn’t I try to make them here…First up, the Buddha Bowl…not exactly the same, but pretty damn close.💚


✔️1x grilled skinless chicken breast
✔️¼ c of chickpeas (roasted)
✔️¼ c of cashews (roasted)
✔️Handful of broccoli, carrots, grape tomatoes
✔️Handful of chopped spinach
✔️Drizzle of olive oil and balsamic vinegar
✔️Seasoned with garlic powder & red pepper flakes
