Are you afraid that if you go into hypnosis, you might say something you don’t want to say or reveal something too personal? 🤔

That’s one of the most common fears people have about hypnosis — and it’s completely understandable. Movies and TV have made it seem like hypnosis is a loss of control, but the reality is the exact opposite.

When you’re in hypnosis, you’re in a deeply relaxed, focused state of attention — kind of like that moment right before you fall asleep or when you’re totally absorbed in a book or movie. You’re awake. You’re aware. You hear everything that’s said. You remember as much as you would from any normal conversation.

And most importantly — you are in control the entire time. 🤩

You can choose what to share and what to keep private. You can even open your eyes or end the session whenever you want. Hypnosis isn’t something that’s done to you — it’s something you do with your hypnotist. ☺️

✅It’s a process of cooperation, not control.

Your mind simply becomes more open and receptive to positive, helpful suggestions that you want to take in.

🎗️No one wants to commit su***de. Ever. Most people who end up dying from su***de have thought about it for some time.

A person who is considering su***de is in so much pain that they feel they have no options, and they definitely have no hope. At all. They are in a deep dark hole and do not see a way out.

🤗The best thing you can do is ask them about it. While that sounds scary, here’s the reality:

🟣You CANNOT put the idea in someone’s head. Ever. 👈
We are afraid that if we ask someone if they are thinking about killing themselves, that we will plant that idea. This is simply not true.

🟣You never can nor will ever give someone the idea of su***de. If anything, most people are RELIEVED that you asked because they want help. That’s why someone who is considering su***de makes indirect statements about ending their life. It’s a cry for help.

💖We all want to be heard. Especially someone who feels like there is no hope. This is about listening. Simply listening to the person. No platitudes such as, you have everything to live for, or it’s worth it or… They don’t FEEL that way. It’s all about listening and helping connect the person to a resource.

🎗️Please use national Su***de & Crisis Lifeline, even if you aren’t considering su***de and need to assist someone in getting help.

☎️Simply dial 988.

You do not need to be suicidal to use it, even if you are having a moment of crisis, they are there to help in whatever manner you may need.

They do not call law enforcement unless you are threatening to kill yourself or others. And if you are with someone who is considering su***de or is in crisis, use the line! They will absolutely assist you and the person at the same time.

🤗Remember, you are not responsible for them by asking the question. You are opening a door for the person to seek help.

If you do not feel capable of assisting the person, please call 988 with the person next to you. Speaker phone is fabulous. 📞

You already go in and out of a hypnotic state at least twice a day. 💫

At the very least, it happens twice: Once as you drift off to sleep at night, and once as you slowly wake up in the morning. These natural transitions are moments when your brain shifts into a more relaxed rhythm, one that we measure through brainwave activity. 🧠🌊

Hypnosis works with this same natural process. The brainwave state most closely linked to hypnosis is called theta — a state associated with deep relaxation, creativity, and heightened receptivity. Your mind naturally slips into theta not just as you’re waking or falling asleep, but often during the day as well — like when you’re daydreaming, deeply focused, or “zoned out” in thought.

So, the next time you feel yourself drifting as you fall asleep, you can notice that you’re already moving through the very same state used in hypnosis. It’s not foreign or mysterious — it’s something your mind is already doing, all on its own. 🙂

You’re always in control when you’re in hypnosis.

Many people imagine hypnosis as a state where they lose awareness or control, but in reality, it’s quite the opposite. When you’re in a hypnotic state, your mind becomes more focused and receptive, yet you remain fully aware of your surroundings. You hear and remember just as much as you would during any ordinary conversation.

Because hypnosis is not sleep, you’re conscious of every word that is said. You can choose to follow suggestions that feel right for you and disregard anything that doesn’t align with your values or goals. This means that throughout the entire process, you remain in the driver’s seat — calm, relaxed, and completely in control.

Do you keep repeating the same situation, the same issue, the same heartbreak, the same pattern…?

It’s tiring. You’ve journaled, talked it out, and listened to a million podcasts. Yes, you have more insights… maybe something shifts for a day or two only to have the same old patterns resurface…and you’re back to feeling stuck again.

Feeling stuck isn’t about not knowing enough. It’s about energy, pain, and emotion hiding under the surface. Insight is helpful, but release means letting your body and heart shift - not just your conscious mind – at a subconscious and emotional level.

Ever walked away from a deep conversation and thought, “It should feel better by now”… but nothing’s changed?

Here’s what people skip over—your system isn’t broken. It’s actually doing its job.

If talking didn’t help, it’s because your nervous system was in full protection mode.
Not open. Not ready. Just holding tight so you get through the day in one piece.
