Whether it’s cold and snowy or bright and sunny, it’s always important to take care of your hearing aids so you can hear what matters most!
Here are some simple tips for winter hearing aid care:
• Wear your hearing aids consistently
• Protect your devices from moisture, condensation, and extreme cold
• Use hats, scarves, or earmuffs for extra protection
• Store spare batteries in a warm, dry place
• Use a hearing aid dehumidifier or drying box to remove moisture
• Clean your hearing aids regularly with the tools provided
• Handle them gently and try not to drop them (especially in the snow!)
• Keep your ears clean and dry
• Manage winter colds and illnesses to help protect your ears
• Check your batteries often and keep extras on hand
• Stick to a regular cleaning routine, as winter can increase earwax buildup
• Schedule regular checkups with your hearing care provider
Taking care of your hearing aids regularly will help you hear better all winter long! ❄️ 🤍
