🧡🦃 All-Staff Thanksgiving Potluck at Napa Valley Care Center 🦃🧡

Today was extra special at Napa Valley Care as we gathered for our All-Staff Thanksgiving Potluck, and what a feast it was!

Our Administrator, Spencer, along with our incredible Maintenance team, Larkin and Frank, fried the most amazing turkeys. Our talented Kitchen Director, Delfina, cooked the remaining turkeys and prepared a spread of delicious sides!

We also had staff bring in homemade dishes, including our Social Services Director, Debra’s amazing cornbread. Every bite was beyond delicious!

A special thank you to our Activities Director, Keysha, for making sure this beloved annual tradition takes place each year. Your coordination and heart make days like this truly meaningful. 🧡

More than anything, today reminded us of how much we love and appreciate our staff. Sharing a meal together made this Thanksgiving season feel extra meaningful. Thank you to every single person who contributes to making Napa Valley Care Center a warm, caring, and joyful place. ✨What a gift!

This holiday season, we are opening our hearts to seniors in our community who may not have family or friends nearby. If you feel called to brighten someone’s day, you can “Adopt a Senior” by dropping off a small gift to help make their Christmas feel special and full of love. 🥰

At Napa Valley Care Center, we’re proud to shine a light on the incredible individuals who make our community so special. Today, we’re highlighting Lupe Gonzalez whose compassion and dedication brighten the lives of our patients and team every day!

From the very beginning, Lupe felt called to healthcare:

“I have always had a deep compassion for helping people in need.” 💕

That compassion has become the foundation of Lupe’s work here at NVCC. One of the things she loves most is witnessing the progress patients make on their journey to recovery:

“I love being able to help patients reach their goals while they heal. It’s so rewarding to see them regain their independence.”

When asked about a proud moment at NVCC, Lupe reflected on the joy of being recognized for their dedication:

“Being recognized for my hard work and dedication by patients, family members, and coworkers has been truly meaningful.”

Night Shift Nurse Appreciation Breakfast ✨

This week we celebrated our incredible NOC shift nurses with a special appreciation breakfast hosted by our Director of Nursing and leadership team. 💕

We are so grateful for the dedication, compassion, and tireless care our night shift team provides. While most of the world sleeps, you are the heartbeat of our center, ensuring safety, comfort, and healing for our residents. 🌟

🐴✨ What a joyful day at Napa Valley Care Center! A heartfelt thank you to SpiritHorse Equine Assisted Services for visiting with their sweet horses and sharing their loving presence with our residents. 💖

We are so grateful for SpiritHorse and the incredible work they do. 💫

ABOUT SPIRITHORSE:
SpiritHorse Equine Assisted Services exists to connect people and horses with the goal of empowering lives through compassion and healing. Their inclusive programs serve individuals of all abilities especially those facing developmental, emotional, social, and physical challengesthrough lessons, camps, and classes.

Based in American Canyon, SpiritHorse is run primarily by volunteers and proudly affiliated with SpiritHorse International. Their vibrant farm is home to up to 10 horses, several friendly mini ponies, and a variety of petting farm animals including goats, pigs, Ms. Donkey, and Gypsy the sheep. 🐐🐖🐴

🇺🇸 Fourth of July Fun at Napa Valley Care Center! 🎆

Our annual 4th of July celebration was an absolute blast! We had a cotton candy machine, a bounce house, and even a dunk tank where our fearless Administrator, Spencer Hadley, took the plunge thanks to some enthusiastic staff throwers! 😄

The grill was fired up with delicious food and drinks, and we had live music filling the air with joyful tunes. Our residents came outside to enjoy the festivities, and several staff families brought their little ones to join in the fun, it was a beautiful sight to see generations celebrating together. 🌟

A heartfelt thank you to our amazing team and our incredible Activities Director for putting together such a joyful and memorable event. What a perfect way to celebrate the 4th, and each other. ❤️💙🇺🇸
